Since my session with David a few months ago, I have discovered an awareness about myself that never surfaced before. I now notice when I have lost people’s attention while they are speaking. At that moment I will immediately stand or sit taller, put my shoulders back, uncross my arms, lean forward to let them know what they are saying is important. It works every time!!!!!! The other person soon acknowledges me and includes me in the interaction, Moral of the story…….When I am sending out negative responses it appears to onlookers as indifference and in reality is an expression of my insecurities (I’m in a an unconscious state) As I refocus on my posture and stance gives me the ability to to gain control of my inner strength and illustrate confidence. My mind soon comes back to being consciously present. This simple procedure is quite powerful. I immediately feel stronger and better about myself and this allows me to engage in conversation with others. It now becomes refreshing to be a part of something rather than being a mere observer. David, thank you for sharing this with me.

This is a process of learning that moves beyond the traditional models and takes you to a level that is both experiential and ontological.

It is an elegant and exquisite process that is simple and is based on the works of Joseph Campbell particularly “The Hero’s Journey” and also applies the teachings of Dr. Joseph Riggio (Architect of the Mythogenic© Self-Process).

David HamnettI am a personal student of Dr. Riggio and have been profoundly affected by his teachings and have witnessed not only personal transformation and growth but the magnificent becoming of fellow students.

I have completed a year’s work with Dr. Riggio and am ready to now share that learning with others.

To tell you what Somatic Coaching is, I have to tell you to some extent what it is not.

  • It is not a sequential process

  • It is not a “How to”

  • It is not problem solving

It is more an experience of “Being”. To know who you are when you operate from a position that is unique to you.

There are lots of books and how to learning that tell people what they should be doing how they should be behaving and what works in life and whilst they all have a ring of “this makes sense” at the same time there’s a “well I’ve tried that and it didn’t work”. There’s something of a generalization about them.

This work is all about you and will show you what is possible for you and how you can build capacity to be what you want to be and maintain that capacity at all levels of life.

Remember this is “your life” or perhaps it’s not.

Are you living your life or the life others want or expect you to live?

To find out more contact me at and let’s have a chat to see if this work is for you.
